COVID-19 & Inequities in the Americas

Inter-American Network of Academies of Science

VIDEO CONFERENCE

In June 2020, the Inter-American Network of Academies of Science (IANAS) hosted a Video Conference on COVID-19. Conference participants, representing several national academies from the Americas, came together to share experiences relating to the COVID-19 global health crisis.

Among the issues discussed were societal inequities deepened by the pandemic and cases in which members of the scientific community have come under threat as a result of their efforts to provide reliable information about COVID-19 to members of the public.
